URGENT - FUNDS NEEDED FOR FINLEY
***EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE NEEDED*** Finley showed up at the Stafford County Animal Shelter as a stray. She has the sweetest personality and shelter staff are already in love with her. As part of the #ClearTheShelters event this weekend, Finley was brought to White Oak Animal Hospital for her spay surgery. Once she was under, it was discovered that she had two mammary tumors that needed to be removed. The additional expense for this surgery plus after care is $850. Friends of Stafford County Animal Shelter is reaching out to help raise these funds so Finley can be happy and healthy in her forever home. Because Finley was already anesthetized when the tumors were found, the decision was made to complete the surgery at that time. She is already in recovery and doing well. She will spend the weekend at WOAH as they monitor her surgical drains. She will be released on Monday and at that time, the shelter would like to have a Foster Home lined up for her as she will need special care during her recovery. They are asking that she be in a home with no other dogs at this time due to her post-surgical needs. If you are interested in fostering Finley, please call the shelter at (540)658-7387.
As always, thank you for your support! The shelter animals are grateful.
{Any additional funds will be used for future SCAS pet needs.}
