BARN CAT HOMES NEEDED

The Stafford County Animal Shelter currently has several cats they are seeking barn homes for.  As an open-admission shelter, SCAS takes in a large number of feral cats. These cats have often spent their entire lives outside and are shy, under-socialized and not ready to live indoors. It is an unfortunate fact that these cats are the first to be euthanized when the shelter fills.

Stafford County Animals Shelter is working hard to find a home for every animal in our shelter. Sometimes, in the case of a feral cat, this means finding an alternative to a family home. At this time, they are actively seeking barn owners to step up and help.

By providing a barn home for a formerly stray SCAS cat, you are truly saving a life.  All these cats need are a cozy barn for shelter and someone to provide them food, water and medical care.  All of these cats will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before going to their new homes.  They shelter will also assist with helping you acclimate them to their new home.

Friends of Stafford County Animal Shelter is helping support the shelter in their efforts by providing the funds needed to spay/neuter and vaccinate these cats.  We are reaching out to our supports to ask for assistance.  We need to raise $75/cat to cover the vet costs.  Know that by donating, you are making a huge difference in the life of each one of these special cats.

As always, thank you for your support! The shelter animals are grateful.

{Any additional funds will be used for future SCAS pet needs.}
